What our volunteers do

Our volunteers are the heart of the Kings Cross Community Centre.

  • They help both front and back of house in our op shop — sorting, steaming, and pricing donations.

  • Out in the community, they support our older clients by providing transport to appointments, accompanying them on shopping trips, or catching up over coffee.

  • Volunteers also assist with reception and office duties, helping keep the Centre running smoothly every day.

How to volunteer

Interested in joining our volunteer team? It’s easy! You can pop into the KX Op Shop and fill out a form in person, or download a form using the button below and drop it into the office during the week — or into the shop on the weekend.

  • You will then be invited to attend a 45 minute volunteer induction session where you will learn more about the organisation, what we do for the community and our history.

  • All volunteers and staff must have a valid NSW police check.

We’d love to have you join us!
