2026 Volunteering NSW State Conference

Recently our Volunteer Co-ordinator, Maree Sheehan, attended the 2026 Volunteering NSW State Conference facilitated by The Centre for Volunteering and held at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

The theme was “Leadership that Transforms Communities” and it was an inspiring day. We heard from a variety of speakers covering a diverse range of topics including: empathic leadership, conflict resolution, cyber security and empowerment toolkits.

Maree met some great people from other agencies across New South Wales, shared ideas and picked up some valuable tips on supporting and managing volunteers. She is looking forward to applying this knowledge to what good leadership looks like in the community sector.
