National Volunteer Week | Morning Tea

National Volunteer Week 2026 has begun, Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering, recognising the millions of people who continue to strengthen communities through their time, care, and contributions. 

This year’s theme, Your Year to Volunteer, is both a thank you to those already volunteering and an invitation for more people across Australia to explore how volunteering can fit into their lives in meaningful and flexible ways. 

This National Volunteer Week, we invite all Australians to join us in recognising the incredible impact volunteers have in communities every day and celebrating the people helping make 2026 Your Year to Volunteer. This year is a moment to thank those who already give their time and to invite others to discover how volunteering can create connection, purpose, and lasting positive change.

This morning at Kings Cross Community Centre we celebrated National Volunteer Week with fabulous cupcakes, pots of tea & espresso coffee!
