We're here when you need us.

Practical, local support for people in the Cross, especially for our older locals. Information and referral, advocacy, transport, and real introductions to the right people, not just paperwork.

If you're not sure where to start, start with us.

My Aged Care, made simpler

My Aged Care is the doorway into the aged care system and it's easy to feel lost at the threshold. Every month we run free, friendly sessions to walk you through it. We'll answer your questions, help you register online, and refer you for an assessment if you need one. No question is too small.

A hand when you need one

We match volunteers with locals who'd like a bit of help to keep living life their way.

That might be a lift to an appointment, a hand with the shopping, help paying a bill, a regular coffee and a chat or someone to water the plants while you're away.

It's practical, it's local, and it's built on real relationships.

The Shopping Bus

For people who like to do their own shopping but could use a lift and a hand with the bags. Every Tuesday the bus picks up at the Centre and at Plunkett Street, Woolloomooloo, then heads to Eastgate Bondi Junction or Marrickville Metro.

You'll have 2–3 hours to shop at your own pace, and we'll help load the groceries and drop you back.

Information & advocacy

Sometimes the hardest part is knowing who to call.

We help locals find the right service and make the right connection and when it matters, we advocate alongside you, including with the City of Sydney and our partner agencies.

Real introductions, not just paperwork.

Plunkett Street, together

Our partnership with Plunkett Street Public School brings support closer to the families who need it, including our new community playgroup.

A relaxed morning of play, connection and a cuppa, where little ones make friends and the grown-ups do too.

By the Cross, for the Cross.
