Jazz Up the Cross | Performer Line-up

Get ready to Jazz Up the Cross!

We are excited to announce our performer line-up for the day being held in Fitzroy Gardens in late October.

Our new event will be a fun, relaxed day bringing local residents, businesses and the wider Kings Cross community together. An opportunity to celebrate our community, promote the work of Kings Cross Community Centre and encourage more local residents to become members.

You can have a seat in Fitzroy Gardens, whilst enjoying listening to live jazz, blues and a touch of disco in and around the gardens. Drop by our KXCC Info Stall to find out more about what we do, our community programs and how you can become a member.

With the wonderful & very humorous Vashti Hughes as MC for our event, her diverse background as a fixture of Sydney’s underground theatre and cabaret scene spans over 20 years. Vashti will be Introducing a fabulous collection of talented musicians & singers from around the hood and beyond including:

Robert Susz aka “"Continental Robert’’ and guitarist Adam Pringle

Paula Terry & guitarist Victor Jesus

Trevor Brown with The Troubadour Trio

For the artistic at heart, our craft stall manned by our very creative volunteers will invite children to craft iconic hats - think a homage to bin chickens - and baroque masks. Face-painting artists will keep our younger visitors entertained and looking festive.

We’d love to see you there and Jazz Up the Cross!
